Doris Mae Hartman

Doris M. Hartman of Grass Lake, age 84 passed away suddenly July 9, 2012. She was born February 13, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Jennie Ahling. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Cliff; daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Riggs, Sandy Pierce, Bev (Bill) Paul and Sharon (Keith) Stillion; grandchildren, Billy (Stephanie) Paul, Brian (Noelle) Milkey, Kathryn (Derek) Fontanilla, Jennie (Sean) Tyler and Ashley (Billy) Vasas; great grandchildren, Isaac, Elijah and Joseph Fontanilla, Tyler, Dustin and Emily Paul, Addison Tyler and expecting great granddaughter, Katlynn Vasas; brother-in-law, Richard (Dessie) Hartman; several nieces and nephews. Doris was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and playing Euchre with her family and many friends. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #745 of Jackson and St. John's United Church of Christ of Grass Lake. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irene Britten; brother-in-law, Richard Britten; son-in-law, Larry Pierce and great grandson, Charlie Paul. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Sherwood Funeral Home, Grass Lake. A celebration of Doris's life will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 270 Bohne Rd, Grass Lake with Rev. David Cornwell officiating.
